The video gives some insight into the motion capture techniques used to create the takedowns and melee combat for the game.


The combat will resemble a “brutal street fighting style” and the main aim is to drive for realism in this department, so expect Watch Dogs to be pretty violent when it comes to melee combat.

That's pretty cool. I've often wondered how they made fight scenes like that, I thought it was just computers without motion capture like that.

damn it! i want to play this game right now.
if i can only get one game when i go to pick up the new console this will be the first game i will have for next gen. the others will have to wait until i have some more money to blow.

Same here. I tought MoCap was just for stunts, didn't know for fighting.
