i dont think so cuz ps4 is going to have more powerful servers

I guess so unless activision plan on paying for new servers for cod5 etc just for ps4 which I doubt.

There is a possibility that PS3 players will be able to play with PS4 players however I think this would only work with games which are coming to the PS3 and the PS4 for example Destiny.

I think they'll be on the same server if they're released for both consoles. Some companies could have different servers though for each console, the PS4 would have a better one.

hopefully that would be good, ps vita does cross play on wipeout letting you play against people on ps3, so hopefully!

I'm guessing you might be able to play it in a lower quality on the PS3 servers. We won't know until E3 I guess.

My guess is Yes and No. I do think that you can play with PS3 players over Gakai on PS4 when it is released. But not PS4(Game)vs.PS3(Game)

Why I think so is ex. FIFA14, will be made with FrostBite for PS3, and Ignite for PS4. So it will be two totally different gameplays and will not match each other over an online match. I do think it will be the same with alot of other games too.

If you could cross play ps3 and ps4 that would be a plus for buyers
