Same page as you to be honest.. Only console I have ever pre-order was through Wal-Mart (Wii U). With pre-ordering games I personally get my games on time or a couple days early; I received Black Ops 2 for the Wii U ( a couple days before blacks ops 2 release date which was a couple weeks before the Wii U dropped). Not sure how it will work with a console, I just took a leap with Amazon.. I'm hoping they are truthful in how they take orders and ship to consumers [as in actually giving each consumer a number priority ]. Although when I ordered they claimed to have delivery on release day.
Sorry I couldn't be any real help.
I kinda don't want to pre order mine yet. I'm going to wait until I know nothing will go wrong. And I don't trust a lot of stuff on amazon , I remember i pre-order dead island riptide I got it like almost a week and a half late.
I see what your saying. And with Amazon you have to realize, outside of their warehouse they have no control over shipping... It's all up to FEDEX, UPS or USPS; all of those delivery agencies are subject to weather and human error. I for the most part have had very positive experience with Amazon ( I often receive my packages (games mostly) a day or two ahead of estimated delivery; have got a couple before official release date). Again, peoples experiences differ and people have preferred methods for how they recieve their goods.
I have had one hiccup where amazon sent a very pricey calculator to a previous address of mine, one which I deleted off of amazon beforehand. I went to my old house to try and get it and they wouldn't answer the door and shit; called the person they were renting from and told him I was about to call the police because I had confirmation of delivery from UPS. They gave me the package and one of my moms packages, both of which were opened (calculator still was in sealed plastic... I should have called the cops anyways after seeing they opened it)
