anyways to keep this on topic,anyone know what that long rectangular thing is below the PS4 logo? i looks like it will pop out?

That would be probably the HDD. There's no other place on the console where they could place the HHD in there.

Place to put extra RAM, additional USB ports, or for an external HDD would be really nice.
But I am thinking the HDD could go on the back on the short side of the system next to the other ports.
