We have some new details on PS Plus for the PS4. It will be required to play online but not for free-to-play games or MMOs. One subscription will grant access to all accounts on that system.


Cross game chat and other media functions won’t require the subscription. This includes services like Netflix.


Games will be added and removed just like the current subscription on PS3 and you will be getting one new PS4 game every month. It’s not clear whether it would be a PS Plus edition like DriveClub which has altered content.


The subscription isn’t required for automatic updates. It will cost $50 or $5 per month. It’s something you pay for PS Plus already on PS3 so it really isn’t a surprise.

Well it is in fact a weird date but imean ithink it will come out sometime in november because yesterday my brother and his friend were doing prank calls and i guess they called wal-mart and asked them if they have any games for sale for the ps4 since he already had it (false statement) and the guy who answered was surprised and i believe he said "but the ps4 doesnt come out until november" and so yeah thats what happened yesterday ..

I've never been a ps+ subscriber religiously before but have shared a friends account, i will have no issues buying this from now as i have seen its very good value, at first i didnt like the idea of paying to go online sort of, but now i like the idea to be fair.

As with me. My first reaction was 'aww man f**k you Sony' but as I read more and more about the ps4/online play and ps+ it's actually not that bad, plus its cheaper than xbox live. Just can't wait for the real release date of the console to be announced.

The PS4 is the best console hands down.

But you can play free-to-play games like DC Universes and others.

I have a question about this , my PS+ membership is due for renewal in 2 weeks. if I buy a year subscription can i then just use that on PS4 ??
