One incredibly important feature about the consoles & headsets is that the PlayStation 4 comes with a mono headset. The Xbox One comes with none.

Out-of-the-package communications will instead be handled by Kinect, which includes all the parts required to yell at and be yelled at, with none of the intimacy of a headset.

Meanwhile, the PlayStation 4, priced at $399 — $100 less than the Microsoft console — comes with a mono headset which plugs directly into the Dualshock 4 controller. Its camera, however, will be sold separately.

It also bears mentioning that the PlayStation 4 features a standard headset jack and the Xbox One's is proprietary, limiting the options available on Microsoft's console, though third-party headsets are already in the works.

Personally, i would only be using this as a back up incase mine broke, even then id more then likely use the ps eye 2.0 or what ever it will be called.

Better yet any standard jack will fit into it, so you could use the ones you get with your phones etc, which i understand why they made them so cheaply looking basic headset to get people being more social. another thing learnt from ps3 release xD them days were so quiet and peaceful!

I like the smart look about the xbox one headset over the ps4 but them kind of headsets arent no good atall! when they start to ache one side of your head you cant flip them over to the other side, where as the ps4 headset you can which can be a bonus!

Either way like i said ill be using my Turtle Beach PX5's so these will stay in the box come launch day.

I honestly don't mind the PS4 headset I always have earphones in so it wouldn't be any different, However I probably will buy some TB's later on so it doesn't bother me much.

Haha I know what you mean man, people go out of their way to but astro or tritons or whatever they're called like £200-£300 headphones when you can just get some simple TB's for £50, I just don't see the point.

I just hope its not made like the xbox 360 headset, coz it was so flimsy and broke easily, other than that it looks alright
