Well, we all know that the PS4 has better RAM than the Xbox One and they both have similar CPU's but what about the GPU?
The Xbox One's GPU is 30% weaker than the PS4's which isn't really a surprise to the community since we all knew this would be the case.
Here is a picture of the comparison...quite shocking if you ask me:
"The PS4 GPU can provide 1.84 teraflops of power, while the Xbox One GPU is rumoured to be 1.24 teraflops. It’s even less when you consider at least 10% of that won’t be used for games and will be reserved for OS and other functions."
This could be a problem for developers since they would have to get "the lowest common denominator" to balance out the games for both consoles. This means that multiplatform games will be the same on both consoles, no differences. PS4 exclusives will have better content than multiplatform games because it will use the massive GPU that the PS4 provides. Good move Sony! You must login or register to view this content.

But there is also the fact that it is alot easier to make the games for each console so it could be alot easier for them to "optamise" the games for each console, so maybe they may spend the extra time and effort optamising the games as it is alot easier to do.
There is also a rumuor that certain companies (Activison is the most talked about) that is developing there games indiviualy for each console, so this could be really good as all games will be as good as they can be, this would be the best thing that could happen.
If they dont optimize the games for each console, why dont they give us a video options menu with the highest settings as what the PS4 can handle? Like they do on PC
