With Gamescom starting next month, the event has began promoting some of it's features including the attendance of Valve and Take 2. But even bigger news, perhaps, is that the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 will be playable on the show floor. This will be the first time that the consoles will be available to the public. The only other time the consoles have been shown at an expo was at last month's E3.
This news comes to us by way of a German press release, first spotted on NeoGAF, which contains a line that roughly translates to, "Mega-Trends 2013: new console generation (Playstation 4, Wii U and Xbox One playable for visitors), more intensive gaming experiences, Cross-Platform."
The event also sent out a press release in English, but it failed to make any mention of this fall's new consoles being playable.
For more information on the event, check out the official Gamescom website.
