Someone Calculated the Release Date

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So my buddy sent me this link to check out and I must say I'm impressed and amazed that this guy was able to come up with this formula. Now keep in mind this post was made BEFORE the PS4 was announced, regardless he came up with 11/12/13 which if you think about it companies are obsessed with 'Special Dates' so what do you guys think???

I inputted the US release dates for the other consoles in excel:

September 9, 1995
October 26, 2000
November 17, 2006

And I created a chart (scatter), right clicked on the data points, and created a trendline (polynomial) This allowed me to create an equation that matches the release dates of all previous consoles, which I then used as a basis for predicting the PS4 release date. The equation was:

169.5x^2+1365.5x+33416

where x is the Playstation x (1/2/3/4)

When you plug in the number 4 for x, the result is 41590, which when formatted as a date in Excel, comes out to:

November 12, 2013.

Sounds like it could be the correct date based on the fact most video games in the US are released on a Tuesday.

Pretty sure GTA is only announced to current gen consoles. Please show me where you see that it is confirmed for next Gen.
