(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Since there's been many people asking how their gonna record gameplay and/or can we record etc with their capture device on ps4 with the hdcp encryption, well yes you can and here's how:

If you dont want to see the users video here's how:

  • Plug the HDMI side of the cable into the ps4 and DVI cable into the converter.
  • Plug the optical cable (SPDIF) into the ps4 and also into the SPDIF input on the converter.
  • Plug the HDMI cable into the output of the converter, then into your capture card and itll record audio & video with no loss in quality, as its all digital.

not really, you just plug the cables in and your done, if i was into recording im sure this would have been easy to think up.

ive used similar cables which ive found on ebay to get things working with my tv in the past.

Best way i find is just get a capture (computer part) card that goes in your computer, then you have it display your gameplay on screen (the card lets you view it but not record, then with thisgameplay on your screen you use fraps to record that.

You may need a HDMI splitter / box so you turn you have 1 cable into your TV and 1 into your PC

IMPORTAMT make sure the card can display HDCP protected content.

Nothing is allowed to record it but some are allowed to display it.

True, very true.

Also if the PS4's built in DVR is a good we wont need this.

Aparently it will do 10-15 mins of footage so that will be perfect for most people

In Flames Much?
We don't know what protection is in place so may be bit more simple compared to that.
