Post: Ps4 ps+ membership questions?!

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I haven't been on NGU in like years. I haven't been educated with shit related to the PS4. I seen the E3, thats about it.
After that, I sold my damn PS3 and was gonna save the money for the PS4.

I just recently found out about having a PS+ membership in order to play online most games. Yeah, probably really old news to you NGU members.
So, i need to pay $50 for a PS+ membership for a year? I don't care about all the accounts on the PS4 being able to play online if ONE account has PS+. It's only me that'll be using the PS4. I got a PS3 in the first place to play online FPS games. To some this up, all I do is play online. Thats all I looked forward to on the PS4 also with GTA 5 since that looks amazing.

In my situation, should I just get a PS3 again? I mean, I purchased a PS3 so I don't need to pay for online gaming like how Xbox does. What are the perks of actually paying the PS+ for online gaming? Will they ever charge PS3 users to have a membership to play online? Someone please inform me everything I need to know about paying for online gaming.

Is it worth the $50 a year?

Who’s Jim Erased?
PS+ gives you huge discounts on certain games and every game as at least 10% off. It also gives you the Instant Game Collection which gives you at least one highly rated game per month for free. PS+ gave us 65 games from June 2012-2013 and last month they gave us Uncharted 3, Saints Row 3, Battlefield 3 and Payday: The Heist (including all the games which were still on the store). It also gives you cloud storage, and your membership can be used on your PS3, PS Vita and PS4 so you can have the benefits on all 3 of those devices. Further more, the online servers will be much better as we have to pay for online gaming now.

There's probably a few other reasons which I missed out.

ps3 will always be free, they have said that.

paying for online will bring more better, faster, reliable services.

xbox you pay to play online with xbox live gold or what ever its called, its not free. ps+ for ps4 will be similar except the services with require a seperate subscription like netflix/lovefilm wont require ps+

free to play games wont need a ps+ either.

ps+ will be a all in one purchase, for ps3, ps4 and psvita so its really worht the money, and if your a subscriber on ps3 then technically there wont be no change for online on the ps4 unless you let it run out, you'll get all the free games for ps4 aswell too.

anything else just browse this section, you'll find everything you'll need to know, or feel free to look at the threads ive made it'll cover most of the info released so far

GTA V is coming out for PS3 not PS4 (for now), so that's free to play online.

Also to answer your question, yes. It's absolutely worth $50 a year Smile

Sony is a company, and their profits have been decaying in the last few years... You simply couldn't expect them to provide a free service again in the next-gen consoles could you?

PS Plus goes down to 5$ a month or even less... If you think about it, you'll get some free games in the process, while getting a new and more reliable online service, there's no downside to this unless you can't afford it.. but whoever spends some hundreds on a console, must be able to afford a few bucks a month right..?

In the end it's up to you, but no, it's not like they're asking for money for no reason at all..
