I was there for 15 or 20 mins and no one came in so me and the guy had a good conversation about the release date. I told him I thought Sony might release on Friday the 29 of November, but then I told him that would be chaos because its black friday. "He then proceeded to tell me his prediction. Basically Microsoft and Activision are close. They announce the Xbox 1 at a CoD event, and they announce Ghosts at a Microsoft event. He says he thinks Sony is going to wait for Microsoft to announce their release date. Microsoft has already said November, and CoD Ghosts comes out on the 5th. So we may see the release of the Xbox 1 alongside CoD Ghosts. If Sony does wait til Microsoft announces their release date, then Sony would release about a week earlier. That would put the release date on October 29th, which is the release date for Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and Battlefield 4", both of which I do believe have been confirmed as PS4 launch titles.

So your opinions? I think his guess is as good as anyone's guess. I am a bit more inclined to believe him as he has been working at Gamestop for 9 years. He has seen a lot of game release nights, press conferences, a console release, etc. He gets to see patterns from companies like Microsoft and Sony everyday.

(Btw anything is quotes is me retelling his story)

Xbox 360's release date was the 22nd of November, 2005; Which was a Tuesday.


I do agree the chances of M$ sharing a day with COD is very slim...

seroiusly give up with these threads, wait till the 20th, i bet half of sony employers / these stores dont know the release date yet alone the people working there

It'll be Oct/Nov release a specific release date for me isnt important just the time frame.

All I did was share information. It will be interesting to see whos prediction comes the closest. I didn't say he knew it, hence its a prediction, not an affirmative date.
