What're your thoughts on having to be a PS+ subscriber for online play?

I think that it's a bit much, seeing as we're already spending so much on the console itself. I'm probably going to stick with the PS3 until something really pulls me to the new console.

Well think about it. They're going to use that money (well, maybe most of it) to provide better and better service. And its 5$ a month. Those 17.99 and 50$ plus cards are optional. I'm pretty sure an average kid can spare 5$ a month if their parents give them an allowance or lunch money.

PS+ is a lot better than XBL gold from a Microsoft fanboy. However, Xbox has much better sales. Free games will always take the pot though, no matter the argument.

It's not even sacrificing seeing as you get 36 amazing games free every year with PS+ anyway.

I have 2 psn accounts with ps+ my account personally ps+ does not run out until 6/4/15 so im good

Until we see some good games for the system I won't be picking it up on release day.
PS+ only worry is the free games being released on it are less good compared to the past.

It's not such a bad thing, since I've payed for XBOX Live since I have owned a console! Not all games will require PS+ to play online, I believe as of now, there are 10 games that don't require PS+.
