People have been saying random dates because certain games will be coming out on that day etc or it has to be before this date and that date due to this game being released and as its a launch title etc.

Many people have forgotten games can be released before the console is actually out which makes a few speculations void.

For example:

Black ops 2 & Assassin's Creed 3 were available for the WII U before it was released,
condemned 1 on the 360,

Looking into it more, there was loads of games released before launch for the xbox.

Theres always that possibility this could happen with the PS4.

Thoughts?

It will be released late October or early November. I will purchase it in January, just in case.

I know you're talking about game releases before console and that being void, but I remember seeing a post on here or somewhere else about gamestop (or amazon) having the ghost release date for ps4/xbox on its website and then taking it down quickly. I believe the date was early November. Which makes sense because then it will be ready for Christmas bundles and gifts and stuff like that which is what they did with the 360 and ps3. It's only a smart business move and so it's likely it will be released before thanksgiving in November.

Playstation 4 release date for Saudi Arabia and Middle East December 15 2013 I know that doesn't mean anything for us/eu but its all I got besides a guess of somewhere between the last week of October and the first 2 weeks of November :unsure:

Keynote those consoles have done that. Sony hasn't so it is unlikely that they will start now. It will be released on the date the first game is to be released.

It did ask this on GameStop and they tell me that yes, if a game is released before the console we will have to go a get the game before the console. So there's a possibility of that happening.

Thanks! I've been saying this for a little while.. I mean, I got my copy of Black Ops II for Wii U a week or so before the official release date for the game and ( two weeks before the Wii U release date).
