Don't take this as a 100% confirmed release date, but it has a high chance of being true. This came from a mod-verified gaffer named Nealand Liquor who said that it would be released on the 21st.




Here's what he said:
"Our internal product release schedule from head office dropped yesterday and on Oct 21st an unnamed Sony console will be launched. Fyi all console revisions like the ps360 slims and Wii Mini were listed as ps360 & wii mini. Previously the Wii U, 3DS and Vita were also only listed as Nintendo/Sony Console in the product name column."


Sony will be holding their Gamescom conference very soon which should be the time they announce the official release date of the PS4. This could be the official release date since it's accurate and possible for Sony to do this. Of course, NGU will keep you guys updated with all the up-to-date information we can find

Doesn't exactly fit with the whole "Holiday 2013", I don't really classify Halloween as a Holiday haha.

If this is true I will be very happy; although it makes things a little tighter budget wise... I'll still be in my first seminar for the quarter (the classes are all easier [which was done for the release of GTA: V (which comes out before I start classes :?D )])

on the 18th of this month a 12gb ps3 will release that's what he's talking about in the first part

Here's some evidence to slightly back that rumor up... In an interview with Jack Tretton after the Sony conference, Jack was asked for a more specific launch date than 'Holiday Season'. Jack mentioned 'October November or December' when responding to to the questions, which seems to me he refers 'Holiday Season' to be three months, rather than Nov/Dec.

Its a little early. I personally hope this is false. I would hope it would be out by holiday. But then again, it would be nice for it to be before holiday so angry parents won't be taking up all the PS4's and trying to sell them for outrageous prices on Ebay.
