(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey. As we all know, SONY has confirmed a PlayStation 4 version of MINECRAFT. What kind of performance do you guys expect, is GDDR5 going to make a significant difference?

We're talking about a console that is as powerful as a really decent computer here... it will run it fine. Minecraft runs perfectly fine on Xbox 360, so I highly doubt the next-gen will have any issues.

Well there is a common misconception about Minecraft and how "easy" it is to run if you have a good GPU. For those of you that don't realize it, Minecraft is coded using Java. Java is actually very CPU intensive, not GPU. You could have an amazing 4 Way Titan GPU setup, with a garbage CPU and Minecraft will not run properly. That being said, the GPU still does matter, although not as much as it would in a conventional game like BF3. That all being said, both the Xbox One and the Ps4 will be capable of running minecraft at maximum settings (with proper development of course) without issues at a constant framerate.
