ony has announced that the PlayStation 4 officially launches in the Middle East on December 13, about a month after the November 15 debut in North America, and a couple of weeks after the European debut on November 29.
Sony announced the news during the GAMES13 event in Dubai, where they also revealed the PlayStation 4 price in the region: it will retail for 1,699 AED, which translates to roughly $460 USD.
While most major territories will get the PlayStation 4 this year, Japanese gamers will have to wait until February 22 for the PS4 to launch.
Sony’s official sales estimate for the PlayStation 4 is at 5 million consoles by the end of March 2014. Which is three times more than what the PS3 sold during the same time frame.
