(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Right now German Magazine ComputerBild is deeply analysing debug unit of Playstation 4 that they received just a day ago. Thanks to this analysing process, tons of new details about PS4 has arrived.

ComputerBild revealed the specfication of Playstation 4 HDD and it reads something like this: "HGST 2.5", 5400 RPM".


In addition to this, ComputerBil also revealed that Playstation 4 HDD supports 2.5" drives up to 12.5mm height.


Analysis of PS4 Debug unit from ComputerBild didn't stop till HDD. The Tech magazine from Germany also measured and compared noise level of Playstation 4 with Playstation 3, you can read its You must login or register to view this content..


PS4 HDD speed is capable of speeds in the range of 80 to 100 MB per second, according to ComputerBild.

Is that all? 5400 RPM? I was expecting 7200. Looks like I'll be upgrading my HDD day 1 again. I upgraded my 250GB HDD in my PS3 for a 750GB SSD. Might do the same for the PS4.

Once someone finds a decent one and fits it and it's all good then I'll probably do the same and upgrade to a 1TB hdd

Wanted 7200 but guess that sounds why it so cheap.

Yeah probably so, but its not the biggest deal ever. Yeah it will cost a little bit more extra money to just get one to your needs. But not the end of the world. At the end of the day they got to keep some things lower spec to make the price of the console more "appealing"

Yea I had a feeling it was going to be laptop spec HDD.

Yes!

Not as much compared to using an SDD running at max speed vs a HDD. Most people won't notice 5,400 to 7,200 on a gaming console. PC you would notice it more.
