Thankfully ive never had a problem had a phat 80gb that lasted forever until i sold it and my slim is a champ no issues. Think ill take my chances again I have faith in Sony products

manufacturers warranty is meant to be 2 years now in the eu isnt it?

I would get the protection plan just incase my bluray dies

The only problem I have with these plans is I'm already spending a lot for the item. So I don't have enough to afford the plan on top of it haha.
