It’s been discovered via the PS4 You must login or register to view this content. that the device can execute several voice commands without the need for the PS Eye peripheral. And through user experimentation, a few more functions have been uncovered.
Default uses outlined by Sony:
- Home Screen – “PlayStation, go home.”
- Screenshot – “PlayStation, take screenshot.”
- Log in – “PlayStation, log in.”
User discovered:
- Standby – “PlayStation, power, standby”
- Booting up a game – “PlayStation, You must login or register to view this content..”
This could be pretty handy! instead of pressing the screenshot button you could just say "PlayStation, Take screenshot" and have it capture your screen!
Most stuff like this are just gimmicks and will get played about with at first then forgotten later on and the npossibly used to show people who dont know about it xD
Another nice thing is, say if your not in the room and your ps4 is at the PS4's XMB (Now called PlayStation Dynamic Menu or DM) or dashboard like some people call it and you enter the room, while looking for your controller you could just say "PlayStation, Battlefield 4" and it'll boot up while you get your things together and get comfy !

Didn't know that, pretty handy! it saves some time when trying to find the controller (always happens)
Do you think it could be possible if you said something like "Playstation, Create message"
or something like "Playstation, Party Chat"
Maybe someone with a PS4 can try? would be nifty.
I don't know, something like that would be pretty cool but that's a cool feature that I will probably use quite a bit.

That's pretty cool and handy. I thought it was only possible with the PS4 camera, but I guess not. Do you happen to know where the 'microphone' (lack of a better word atm) is that allows it to do this? Like whereabout is it built into it? I haven't tried it yet, but I hope I don't have to yell too loud at my Playstation like a lunatic, hahaha! :p-

Sony love hiding little things like this, it'll just come down to experimenting. It would definitely be cool though, even better if i could speak a message out and it'd type it! so much quicker then typing cia a phone or controller.
