Someone has got hold of the european ps4 box and discovered that these are being made in japan, it also show it on the console itself too.

From what i understand you get better quality things from japan than you do china, i wonder if this will make any difference at all?

Can any of our american friends double check their consoles and clarify, does this mean these ps4's will be built better with lesser defected consoles, only a week until we find out who knows it could be worse!

I looked at my box and it said made in china.

my ps4 is made in china and box was made in china as well

I'm pretty sure the ps4 was made by Foxcon - therefore; MADE IN CHINA.
The PS4 Dev Units were made/manufactured/assembled in Japan, no reason for the Retail consoles to receive the same treatment.

that first batch may have been, who says they will continue to use that same company for them all, they may even have many different factories.

why would a company make there dev kits in japan in the 1st place and not china with the rest of there main models ..because you cant give a dev a cheap model .its made in china its cheap ..hope after whats happen in china they do move to japan being im from the uk i will be happyer

These countries have poor child labor laws making kids work 24/7 for just a cent to earn. People don't realize that the reason why they get faulty PS4s is because of how much stress these kids have to deal with.
