(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok everyone, the day I got my console, I was extremely excited to create a new account and start anew on the next-gen consoles but there was a few problems. First, when I had JUST turned the PS4 on to create a "New User" and I had gone through all of the steps to do so and have a PSN account linked to it, the system would not let me. It stated that I needed to go to my primary account and create on there, but I didn't have one. So eventually I linked my system with an old PSN account that I really didn't like nor use, as my primary account. After that I had to go through all of the steps to get to create a new account. When I was done with the new account, I started to use all of its features on it and discard the primary account. So after a while, I wanted to watch my friends live stream and comment on it, but a message prompted me with something like "You are not able to do that on this account" and when I was setting up the Account, i allowed those functions. What the purpose of this thread is to ask for a little advice on what I should do to get those functions up on my sub account. I a very lost on this Sub and master nonsense and need some guidance.

Cake is a lie
Master account is basically for the owner of the PS4. Your main gamertag that you paid the PS Plus subscription for and ultimately the one that controls the others.

Sub accounts are in two categories.

First is additonal users. This could be a brother, friend, girlfriend, roommate, etc. Basically they can save everything on the PS4 hard drive and essentially do everything you can for the most part.

Second is guest. This is purely an account were friends that are merely visiting and may have their own PS4 can come log in, and play with their PSN and rank up in multiplayer games as well as earn trophies. Once they are done playing and leave your place then all their guest info is deleted off your system.

So you can't set the console as primary on more than one account?

Can anyone confirm this? This would be a huge letdown :(

A sub account is a account for under 18's thats probably why you needed another account, probably with a 18+ age.

Perhaps that other account you linked up had a age that made it 18+, that could be your problem? otherwise i'm not too sure, you can always go to the account management and deactivate the console as your primary and then re link it to another account

Ok so If I were to create another account and have it 18 + i will not be restricted? I only have 4 months until the account turns to be 18+ so should I wait or create a new account?

Yes, but if you wait it'll give you full privileges when your old enough.

I'd wait mate. It's always best to have correct details in case something happens to your account you can get access to it very easily and fast
