(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Sony has stated that pricing of digital content will be adjusted ahead of the PlayStation 4's release in the UK this Friday.

Earlier in the week IGN reported that digitally downloadable copies of launch titles were more expensive on PSN. In particular, EA were put in the spotlight with its five launch titles originally being listed at £62.99 – a full £8 more expensive than the equivalent Xbox One game.

In a statement issued to Eurogamer, Sony said, “Although PS4 launches in Europe on the 29th November, we have switched on the European PSN early to test and make sure that features and functionality are fully operational for launch.

“However, as PS4 and PSN have not yet officially launched in this region, nothing on the PSN is final, including pricing on the store. You will continue to see some prices adjusted over the next few days in preparation for launch on Friday.”

The pricing of EA games has already decreased since the original listing, with its games now sitting at £59.99 (still £5 more expensive than Xbox One).

£52.99 for a digital game license
you are screwed if for some reason you get banned, sony dont care.

Buy physical copies cheaper, you can then at least sell them on or trade in then once you dont want it.

Absolutely!!

I Only ever buy the disc versions, the only stuff i download off the store are DLC's and PS+ Stuff, i refuse to purchase games from there, cause as you said, disc versions are not only cheaper, but you can also recoup some of your money by selling it if you do so wish.

Sometimes the digital copy is handy - if the price is right I'll purchase as it means I can play with/against my boy online. We download from each others account so in that aspect I only have to purchase once.

However can't justify paying €70 for a game.

back when we could gameshare between 5 ps3's it seemed worth it, i was part of a group and we just split price between 5. But now just having 2 doesnt seem worth it to me, especially at UK prices on psn. It is ideal in your case though, but definitely not for solo use.
