(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); A man was shot dead Sunday in San Francisco after an attempt to sell his PlayStation 4 in the city's Bayview District, police have said. The San Jose Mercury News reports that the 22-year-old man was shot multiple times yesterday afternoon before being taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he later died.

Law enforcement officials said the victim met the suspect, described as an adult male, online after posting an advertisement for the PS4 on Instagram. When they met up to complete the sale, the suspect shot the victim while he was still in his car with his girlfriend despite giving up the console willingly, according to local news outlet KTVU.

"I don't know that it's unique to PlayStation or anything else," Lt. Tim Plyer said. "People do robberies, and I don't know why this one transpired, but we'll do all that we can to investigate it."

As of last night, police continued to speak with witnesses and follow leads as they sought the killer. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the police department's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or to send a tip via text message to TIP411 with "SFPD" in the message.

Pr0n ftw
I don't think anyone would murder over a video game console, rather they would kill while someone is selling it to them for different purposes, it's a very unexpected and unfortunate way to die nonetheless.

I read about this book, it is called "Fist, Sticks, Knife, Guns." Back then, this kid use to fight a lot and there wasn't any guns what so ever. People often never died from this cause. Now when guns started to pop up, many kids started to die from gun violence. Drugs and guns both got popular in the world by the mid 80s. Now, we see nukes and bombs being made. Maybe in like 30 or 60 years, people can buy tanks and use them. Doesn't that seem suspicious that a person would use a gun to get a PS4? If this was the 70s or 60s, most likely the guy never died. He could of been injured, but killing and being injured are both different topics.

What about the gangsters in Chicago, and New York and stuff..?
I feel like meeting people through a unknown "source" online just feels like the old drug deals prolly did it those days... supply the goods, and they supply the money. Unfortunately some people want to gain what they want, and keep what they have. It's no surprise to me that someone would be killed over this... Consumerism is strong in this country, and if you can't afford the best things to make yourself feel good, then you have nothing.
I know life isn't meant to be that shallow... but at time's that's the lie that people choose to believe.

This is why I try to do business as close to a police station as possible. Although cops don't like it.

At least without guns it would give the victim a fighting chance... If that guy came at the other guy with a knife he could have survived, you can't dodge a bullet

True. But on the other hand if the guy (victim) had a gun, he may have been able to shoot first and kill his attacker. There is also the possibility of a number of attackers.

I'm pro gun so maybe it is just my mentality... but I do be believe in more strict forms of gun-control.

Again, it is sad that this happened to that young man.
