Developer of Metal Gears Solid: Ground Zero, Konami has officially confirmed that the PlayStation 4 version of Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will run natively at 1080p while the Xbox One version will run at 720p.
Last week Metal Gear creator Hideo Kojima praised the PlayStation 4, saying it was able to render at 1080p at 60fps "with room to spare". Meaning it was very easy for the PS4 to achieve 1080p, 60 FPS and that there was still plenty of space left. While the Xbox One was struggling to achieve 1080p, therefore 720p was it's goal.

He even went on to say the PS4 was the better of the two consoles. "I think, between the home consoles available in the domestic market, the PS4 is the best," said Kojima.
"Since it does it a little better than other hardware, the image quality of the PS4 is the most beautiful. It’s the closest to the photorealistic quality we are aiming at."
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes will be released on March 18th in North America and March 20th in Europe.
