(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); After releasing its latest trailer for Watch Dogs, Ubisoft was ‘criticized’ for dumbing down the visuals of its open-world title. Well, time to see how this latest build stands compared to the initial E3 2012 and the June 2013 builds. For what is worth, the latest ‘story’ trailer was based on the next-gen version of the game (or at least that’s what the official Playstation Twitter account claimed), meaning that this is what you’ll be getting on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

I hate myself for reading that, its just killed alot of hype for me, hopefully it was all just a bad times in the game they chose to make the videos with.

maybe them dulling it all down they was able to keep it at a steady framerate? i can only guess pc will run this game as we was first shown in all its glory.

Still going to get this day one though, unless anything else holds me back.

This is a little discouraging, but I will reserve judgment until I play it. The recent preview on IGN, where is compares and contrasts it to GTAV, was pretty interesting and quite positive.

The 'Awesome faceowngraded' graphics seem to only be the start of it, the citys are like ghost towns with no cars or people. Ive seen a lot of backlash toward the game now because of it, although im excited for it still, this is kind of making me this about waiting to watch streams of the game to see how it is before rushing into buying it.

Just look at the difference in this GIF

The number of differences is worrying. Look at how the car used to be 3/4 the size of the lane, and in the new footage it's only 1/2? I realize it's a different vehicle but something is definitely up, the whole look of the car seems to of been dulled down too...

I'm just hoping this is footage used from a ps3/xbox360.

Has anyone else seen anything thats putting them off?

Cake is a lie
Back in November when people talked about their trepidation in getting PS4 so soon no one mentioned a problem us early adopters are facing.

Most games we do get this year aren't developed for next gen rather past gen then polished to next gen slightly besides NBA 2K or Battlefield 4.

Wow that is a big difference

The reason why the E3 2012 footage looks better is because it's running on a high end gaming PC without a doubt, the 2013 footage is most likely running on a PS4. :p

Doubtful, why would they try and sell you a product and show it off on the lost grade of hardware?

I saw the June 2012 graphics comparison of this video and the old one and must I say this definitely looks like PS3/360 gameplay, not PS4. I say this because the quality of that gameplay on that gif looks so bad that even looks like PS2 graphics! So no I don't believe that's PS4 gameplay because if it is ( highly doubt it ) then I won't be buying this game.
