(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); With the announcement of the official PlayStation Now name given to the Gaikai streaming service acquired by Sony, many expected You must login or register to view this content. to immediately change to match, but it didn’t happen until recently.

The site is now updated to reflect the change, as you can see below, even if it still retains the Gaikai logo and name, as discovered by NeoGaf user You must login or register to view this content..

As an added bonus, the site also includes some definitely cool concept pictures for PlayStation Now and the Remote Play feature, that you can enjoy in the gallery at the bottom of the post. The one that shows a rendition of the PlayStation Now UI (hidden in the You must login or register to view this content.) is particularly interesting, since it includes barely readable prices, that could even be an indication of what we might expect from the service.

We can see The Last of Us, which is a recent game, priced at $49.99, while older games are much lower. FarCry 3 is priced at $5.99 and Uncharted 3 at $4.99. BioShock Infinite is also included but its price point is partly obscured.
The blue icon and price for Uncharted 3 and Far Cry 2 possibly indicate that the games can be streamed/rented via PlayStation Now, but that’s just speculation for the moment.

For the sake of comparison, The Last of Us is currently priced at $59.99 on the PSN, and FarCry 3 is $19.99. Uncharted 3 is only available in its GOTY edition for $39.99, while the single player part of the game is free to PlayStation Plus subscribers. $4.99 would probably be a fairly reasonable price to stream it.

Of course it’s just a concept picture, so we should definitely take these prices with a grain of salt. That said, they could make sense, especially if paired with the rumored “play all” subscription model.

$4.99 which means in the uk it'll more than likely also be £4.99 or £9.99 (they like to rinse the uk)

that price for a fairly somewhat old game isn't too bad especially if you've missed out on a game you could pretty much own it at a rental price.

$49.99 price for TLOU seems abit step for a last gen game still but i suppose you can't get it on next gen so thats where the money will still be made, newcomers to the system or people who've missed it could still purchase it while devs/sony make money still.

Thoughts?

I'm excited for this. I believe I read you'll be able to play classics like MW2 on the PS4, etc. Also, when is the release date for this?

I doubt they'll ever make new servers for an older COD, it's only up to the developers that made the game but then again that costs them money.

I wonder if in the future for new or old multi platform games will gaikai give us the same graphic fidelity as that of a high-end PC version? That's what Gaikai always managed to do on crappy PCs and laptops, that would definitely put an end to many console-PC wars and revolutionize gaming as tech will become irrelevant, of course people with bad internet will be left behind but most people have high speed internet nowadays and even with mobile networks pushing 4G.

eventually you might be able to, in the long run more than likely but at first it'll be the games inwhich they will make profit from, games which will sell milliosn again, and then once that moneys made they'll expand and gradually bring other games which are in popular demand.

tbh id like them to be new servers, with our saves not being compatible with ps4 single player will be a fresh start so maybe they will do that with multiplayer, new servers through PlayStation Now?

not sure if this is right but i think it only depends on your internet speed, id probably only be able to stream a game at 720p, well i doubt that, id be stuttering every couple of seconds, but im keen to see and trial it to see wherever i subscribe.

the 5.99 games have little arrow type triangle , looks like those are stream games.

i think maybe the full price games are to be the emulated games , perhaps ?
