Will you dim it down or keep it on full? It doesn't bother me so I'll leave it as it is, unless it saves a lot of battery life.

According to Sony that little LED light doesn't consume shit like people are saying, it's the built in speaker, rumble, touchpad, and the microphone jack altogether, so you want more hours it instead does 8, deal with it, or open up the controller and simply plug in the DS3 battery like most people are doing, gives you 14, it's a cool lightbar that makes the controller look good anyways, why the fuck turn it off? It's not noticed much, if you are, you're holding it wrong, or just don't look down, I play over glossy desk too, still barely noticed.

Finally, I hate wasting power all day from my controller. It would always die in 3 hours because of that light
