(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I had a few minutes to spare while i was waiting for something so i thought i'd clean my PS4 as i usually do it even now and then, not that it needed it as it looked pretty clean...

...oh how i was wrong! I took my PS4 out for my tv unit and the amount of dust that sat on either sides vent was mad! From where i sit the ps4 looked clean as anything. A quick go round with the hoover sorted it Smile The PS4 doesnt even sound like its on and running now!

Go give it a clean!

disconnect all the wires and take the ps4 into another room, get a hoover and use that on it, blow in it a few times to free up hard to reach dust then quickly hoover in the vents again.

do that monthly id recommend, then when you boot your ps4 back up go into safe mode and rebuild databases too Winky Winky extra servicing.

Fixes corrupt files, usually when the ps4 isn't turned off properly it can damages files this repairs them, on ps3 it used to fix many problems, it's fixed a few on ps4 for me like no trophy notifications and laggy ui.

Turn the ps4 off, not standby. Hold the power button down you'll hear a beep continue to hold it down until you hear another beer then let go. Plug a controller in and choose the options to rebuild database.
