Post: Music player spotted on Shuhei Yoshida’s PSN profile - MP3 coming?

A tipster that opted to remain anonymous spotted VP of Publisher & Developer Relations Adam Boyes (who is on his friend list) while he was actually using the app, and it included the option to join the session. When he tried, he was notified that he couldn’t join because he didn’t have the app himself, but he was also told that Boyes was enjoying it with another user, also displaying that user’s name.
If the app really is a music player (as also hinted by industry insider Tidux, who has already demonstrated to be privy on what happens at Sony), this could indicate the ability to listen to music with your friends on the PSN, which would definitely be interesting.
Of course we should consider this a rumor until confirmed by Sony Computer Entertainment itself, but I can’t say that the perspective isn’t intriguing.

Mmm I don't see why there wasn't some kind of music player in the first place. I guess its because so they can make money from their service.
IMO I wouldn't use a music player unless it had a DLNA server included so I could play music from my computers/iPhone wirelessly.
Only time will tell though, as there has been reports (I think a thread you posted) said there's stuff in the update that hasn't been told about.

That would be good though as sometimes I play music on my surround sound and play the PS4 on mute/low volume.
