knew this from day one, done the same with my ds3's worked perfect, just make sure you get the proper voltage etc. avoid cheap ones as they won't hold battery life for long, and they will all differ. it could be a day with a nice long battery life then the next it wouldn't hold battery for 5 mins or it could last a year with strong battery life.

I posted this because no, its not the same idea as telling people to buy a new battery for their laptop. That shit is obvious. Not everyone knows that there are higher capacity batteries specifically made for the DS4. In the ps4 mods section someone was trying to use a phone battery to replace it and i thought this would be a way better alternative to that.
