(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Sony will release its PlayStation TV streaming service this fall for $99.

The company made the announcement during its press event at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in Los Angeles Monday evening.

The device, which pairs with your TV, will enable users to play PlayStation 4 games on another television in the home and stream online video through PlayStation Now. It also lets you play Vita games on a TV.

Over 1,000 titles, including PS1 Classics and PSP games, will be available through PlayStation TV, as will Disney’s next version of “Disney Infinity.”

A separate $139 bundle, that will also be sold in the U.S., Canada and Europe, will include a memory card and “The Lego Movie: The Video Game.”

Sony released the small device in Japan last year.

i dont believe it is, i think its a streaming service basically, but to use you must have a ps4/ps3? What i have read is it acts as the ps4 in another room, like multi-room with sky (tv service), the box will let you play your ps4/ps3/vita on a large screen, say you have your ps4 in your living room but wish to play it upstairs, with ps tv it lets you without moving it, now for the catalogue of games im not 100%, but i did notice that on the psn store for ps4 now, it lets me download ps vita, ps4 and ps3 games on my ps+....maybe making way for the ps tv? Maybe someone else who has more info can add to this or correct me, i just had a quick scan on the first page results on google for myself....

Hm...So I can play PS1 and PS2 games on it. How exactly? Do I buy them like applications from the app store.

No I think it's like the PS Store. You run the app, and click on a game, let it load and you can play it. But I'm not really sure. No one has a lot of details unless it was just released and I didn't hear it

Appears to be running on the Playstation Now network
Also the UK price is pretty good at £85.

If you own a PS4 system, PlayStation TV can act as a second console to play your PS4 games in your bedroom via Remote Play.

PlayStation Now will give gamers access to an expanding library of PS3 games to stream directly to the PlayStation TV system.

you can Download, rent, or stream movies, TV shows and music from PlayStation Store, Music Unlimited and other entertainment apps.

This looks awesome as fuck, so basically you're buying another ps4 for a lot less money lol.

So if you have a ps4 on one TV and it's betting used for something else, you just hook up this to another TV and play the games you would wanna usually play on your ps4!
