Sony Computer Entertainment has been known to publish quite a few games that haven’t exactly been financial breakthroughs, yet they don’t seem to be about to give up on that kind of experience, as explained by Worldwide Studios President Shuhei Yoshida during his panel at Gamelab in Barcelona a few days ago.

Personally, I’m quite happy to see that Sony is willing keep supporting talented developers whether their games are financial hits or not, especially considering that titles that may not seem like enormous moneymakers at first sight can actually turn out to be runaway hits.

Sony will always have successful and awesome games because of this. Take a look at The Last Of Us, Uncharted, Killzone, LBP...

Sony's will power to never give up is another factor in this situation. They never know when to give up, hence why things mostly go as planned for them. They have a vast variety of games for the Playstation Platforms and they are only expanding as the PS4 is a better console than expected from people. I think Sony is just getting started. Smile

Based on what Sony has done in the past, they take an IP fund it and turn it into a series.
For me Sony has the right balance not every IP is given the right amount of time has been a couple failures.

What makes me sad is Studio Liverpool shutdown and Zipper.
Still think Sony should had a crisis meeting coming up with great ideas and investing. Studio liverpool had a ton of talent at that company.
