Not to be outdone by the PS Vita’s theme feature announcement, the PS4 also gets in on the action.

PlayStation fans looking to bring themes to their PS4, can now look forward to the upcoming 2.0 update. Towards the tail end of the SCEJA Press Conference 2014, Sony officially announced its plans for themes to make their way to the PlayStation 4.

Like on the PS3, users will be able to customise the look and feel of their PlayStation 4 user interface which will include themes inspired by games available on the platform.

The PlayStation 4 2.0 software update is expected to arrive sometime in September.

Well they have made dynamic themes available right away. Many were doubting this would happen so I wouldn't be surprised if people can create their own.

Niiice, I want to add my own background. Hopefully they also let us just change the color of the default UI, like from blue to red etc... Like in PS3.

Finally! I'd love to add a different theme, I'm getting bored of the default one. Have they said anything about friends going online notification yet?

Don't quote me on it, but I think I've read something about it being in the 1.80 or 2.00 patch.

Not 100% sure though.
