Sony Computer Entertainment has released system update 1.76 for PlayStation 4. Don’t expect too much from it though.

Update 1.76 weighs in at 194MB and features a single patch note: “System software stability during use of some features has been improved.”

The next major update for the console will be 2.0 that will bring Share Play—a new feature that allows a friend to take over control of your game remotely for 60 minutes at a time—an improved YouTube app, and the ability to customize the main menu with dynamic themes, similar to PlayStation 3.

"Sony should have the most stable gaming system with all of their fucking stability updates."

Rather loads of "pointless" updates then have the PS4 hacked like the PS3 is :p

Next update is 2.00 which will be great!

Do a barrel roll!
When the hell are they going to add where we can change our names and put spaces like Xbox? I know it's freaking possible to implement that into the system.

sooo , are we ever gonna see a " ...... is online/offline" notification or a comment like the ps3 had? .. feels like we are much more solo, or farer away from our friends than we were back on ps3 :(

Couldn't agree more with you.

Hours to download some bullshit if you ask me.

Always often wondered what they were 'fixing' with these. What if they're finding exploits within the system of 'jailbreak' quality and fixing them as they finding them. If you notice, with these types of updates, it's always 'no comment' with them as to details of what they 'improved'.

Think about it.

If it takes "hours" to download these updates, I honestly feel so sorry for you.

Wouldn't you want Sony to be on top of a potential exploits?

Its probably small bugs and glitches within apps/ firmware.
