the ps4 runs too damn hot, to much technology crammed into a small space with poor cooling, at minimum the ps4 should of had some type of little legs/ridges to let air flow under it,
my ps4 just sitting on the home screen would blow out air hot enough to warm up lunch haha, i dug out a old laptop cooler i had and now have the ps4 sitting an that and the air coming out the back of the ps4 isnt even warm, nice and cool, the ps4 will last much much longer, heat is the #1 killer in all electronics,
if you dont got your ps4 cooling under control its gonna result in the same situation as every other game console, (the heat will eventually kill it)

so you just sit your console on the laptop cooler and plug the USB from the cooloer into the ps4's USB port? seems like a good idea. where can i buy the fan?

yes just set ps4 on cooling pad and plug into usb port

here is the actual one i use, notice usb in the pic, it plugs into ps4 and you you still have the usb port free... so your not sacrificing a usb port

I made little legs on a CNC router so it lifts it up about 20mm in the air. Also don't cram it into a space, let it have some room around it.

The PS4 will turn itself off if it ever gets too hot by the way.

they run at optimal temperature if the vents arent blocked. you need no really worry about buying fans etc, some fans that blow into it actually disrupt the air flow and keep it just as hot or hotter inside

cooling pad doesn't blow air into the ps3, and your right a fan inst needed but it helps, i would bet my ps4 dropped 15c or more and that will prolong the life of the machine

i appreciate the help and tips for my ps4 but before posting again please consider writing/typing pure clean english... makes the site and post have higher quality
