Sony's PlayStation Meeting is scheduled to take place today at 12 PM PT/ 3 PM ET. Although attendance is limited to members of the press, the platform holder has announced it will be streaming the event for all to watch using the video player below.

It has been speculated that Sony will announce the hardware at the event and then make it available to purchase immediately.

Despite these improvements, the Neo won't supplant the existing PS4. According to Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Andrew House, the Neo is "intended to sit alongside and complement the standard PS4."
