He most likely faked a receipt, and I don't know about the tracking number, but their customer service said it was not of Amazon.

How did you purchase: I have not paid yet because little proof of purchase was given. I was told to report it as attempted scam.

I'm not saying it's a for sure scam, but it seems very likely to me, and he has been ignoring some PM's, and is very reluctant to forward the email with the order confirmation to me. I honestly hope it isn't a scam, and that it works out for both of us, but a liar is a liar. I will not be too available until tomorrow.

Well I told you that I would open a dispute if you wouldn't agree to give me better proof by tonight, so don't blame me.

The tracking number should be enough. I doubt it's necessary to wait for the item to arrive. I'd just recommend you two to go back to the deal. If problems arise, you can always report him on Amazon, dispute him here, and if PayPal is the payment option, you can dispute him there.

I can't dispute through amazon because they'd realize his method and he'd get in legal trouble or atleast blacklisted, and the first payment was with gift cards which can't be recovered if lost. That's why im being cautious, and I worry that the tracking could be for a random item.

If he agrees to let you check the email, ill give you the gift codes to give to him when you confirm legitimacy.

If the tracking number is from a random item, and he really did scam you, there is nothing stopping you from disputing him on amazon. And I doubt he'd risk that. But I will request the confirmation email from him.

Also how could I get the tracking to match perfectly with the order and everything? I live in florida and that ships from NJ. How could I ship myself something from another state.

You could have ordered a small item and then edited the receipt to match it.
If you don't want to do that then we can wait until you get the shipment in a few days.
