(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I had an issue with my 32" Sony HDTV where there was a red line that went all the way across the middle of the screen, so I sold that TV and bought a new one. This new TV is a 20" Insignia HDTV (got it free, brand new) and now I get a problem where the gray areas are, it's like very fuzzy and it makes a red-purple color wave, it's hard to explain but that is an issue.

I have all the HD cords going from my Hauppage HD PVR into the back of the TV, could this be the issue? I tried switching the cords to standard definition but the same picture showed up. What are some possible problems?

Clean out the dust with a low powered vaccum... that's what I do to clean out dust from electronics. Smile

Doesnt it also happen when you pause a movie for too long aswell?

That is why i turn my tv off if im going to leave my ps3 on without me using it

The new plasmas rarely burn in any image... the new ones have built in emitters as well as orbiters.... some even have a game mode...

if its plasma see if it has a screeen orbiter on it and you could possible wash that burn out... doesnt sound like its from a ps3 it sounds like its from possibly watching Standard definiton in a 4:3 ratio instead of a 16:9... if thats the case you should wait 100 hours t.v. time to use 4:3
