All you had to do was sign in from xmb menu and then wait 10 seconds then click play online.

Nope that didnt work either when i try to go to main menu it would give me black screen and i had to turn off my ps3 if start the game already signed in i would get connecting to online services i deleted the game and game data from hdd and backed up the game from a friends disc.

Just sign in before opening black ops 2 and it will let you connect to online services

I use psn patch before signing in
