There were a lot of rumors about the release of a next-gen edition of the game Sleeping Dogs, nonetheless publisher Square Enix remained in silence, while these rumors were spreading on the internet. Yesterday, finally, the silence finally got broken through: Square Enix confirms Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition for next-gen consoles, which will be launched on October 10.

Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition is the remastered version of the 2012 action game from Canadian developer United Front Games. “We’re giving old and new fans a lot reasons to pick up the game, as we’ve gone beyond just increasing resolution and running at 1080p," said senior producer Dan Sochan. "We listened to the fans: we tuned gameplay, we added to the ambience of Hong Kong, increased audio fidelity and pushed the visuals further than we could on the previous generation of consoles.” The game will also include a 24 DLC pack.
