Just to let you guys know I haven't looked around the forum as I'm in a hurry so I'm just after assistance if anyone could provide me with some.

So basically I bought an xbox360 and I'd like to know how to play backup games, download free DLC and exploit games like MW2. I have heard about Modding, Flashing and JTAGs bu have no idea how safe it is to use and how to go about doing it. I also have no hard drive in it.

So can anyone provide me with some information on what the difference is between modding, flashing and jtag. What is better and safer against bricking and banning, and also the best for exploting and downloading games aswell as free DLC.

I will do my own research when I get back from work too.

Modding well i cant really explain unless you give a specific area in which you would like to mod

Flashing: You could play backup games with a flashed xbox your best bet is to use iXtreme LT firmware if you have a Benq or LiteOn DvD drive


Free DLC: you could get free DLC if you have a Jtag not sure how though but it is possible


Jtagged Xbox: You will need a pre-Nxe xbox to jtag it and what this allows you to do is run unsigned code therefore you can pretty much do anything you desire pretty much without boundaries pretty much.


The safest against bricking and banning is just getting it flashed and the best for exploiting is a J tagged xbox

If I have a flashed xbox360 can I play downloaded games? Can I exploit the game? Like mod the game? or is that only jtag? I think jtag is abit much for me..

Flashing it makes it so you can play burned games. J-tagging it allows you to exploit those games and play them burned or straight from the hard drive. I have a normal and J-tag

I wouldn't suggest making your only console a J-tag because you get banned whenever you go online with it( but you can unban yourself for a price). I'd say flash your first one, then if you have the money and you really want buy a J-tag I bought my J-tag from AlphaDenver, he is very professional and can be trusted

You could modify a iso and played it on a flashed console off line i think , correct me if im wrong anyone ?

Get a flashed xbox.
If you wanna JTAG make shore that you have a back up xbox or a unbannable chip on.

No one really knows how to make them unbannable yet....
