(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey, I know that the xbox 360 has a limit on ping, but would it be possible to spoof the ping of your jtag so that the other xbox 360 thinks its connecting to a ping of 20 ms when it is really like 50 ms

I was thinking maybe making the packet size like half of the size of what is normal sent to test ping.

Anyone have any ideas about this?

If they are not dvars then it is pointless, as only 1 side would be ok with the ping

Normally, this would be true but what I have seen leads me to believe that the host determines the ping of the client and also whether or not to allow the client at their ping level.

This is because ping cannot be determined by the client because the ping test would conclude a result of 0 ms thus rendering the test useless. Also, it is part of a string of dvars I have put together.

I think there is an app or patch you can get on xbins.org that removes the ping for xlink. Search around and see what you come up with.

yeah there is a patch to remove the ping check from your jtag, which allows other jtags with the ping removed to connect to you from anywhere.

You can connect to any game even if a non jtag is hosting..
but non jtag consoles cant connect to a jtag host unless they live close. Its really only good to test patches with other jtags. till they find a way to remove it from a non jtag box.
