(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); 1.) If you're a beginner at soldering I suggest using a multi "low" heat iron such as 15-30w.

2.) Don't keep the iron on the board for a long time. Try and not even touch the board as much as you can. If you heat the board too much the xbox can not work & not be jtagable.

3.) Practice soldering with electronics. Maybe pull out an old radio or something and try bridging a connection.

4.)Clean your tip once in a while.

5.) Use soldering flux to keep all of the germs and other infectants that can rot the joint. Cleaner joints make it easier to solder to.

6.) Solder on an angle and hold the iron like a pen/pencil. Never hold the iron straight up.

7.)A better quality iron will save you loads of time/problems in the long run.

8.) A fine point is helpful for those small points. Even a standard Radioshack tip can be ground down to a finer point to help.

9.) Always prep solder points with a fiberglass brush, Lightly scratching the point will remove any top coating on it and allow heat to penetrate.

10.) Use solder with flux in it, makes it easy on some points, but on others a paste solder is helpful.

I hope that helps...if any body has any other tips feel free to respond and I'll add it.

Thanks,

find you point that your soldering on the xbox board turn the board so its standing up stick iron in back of board and wire in the front and slowly take out iron and push in wire and before you solder get a bulb and suck out out old solder as it makes for bad connections and put brand new solder in
