second: create a new folder on your desktop named "back-up" or something.
third: plug hdd into cable, and cable into pc.
fourth: find xplorer360 on your pc, and right-click.
fifth: select run as Administrator
sixth: it will prompt an admin screen, then select allow program to continue.
seventh: the program will then start, click Drive->Open->Hard drive or memcard.
eighth: wait for drives to load, then double-click partition 3.
ninth: double-click content.
tenth: find your profile (yours will be the one with the most games saves, most likely. it makes it easier to find your profile if you only have 1 or 2). then double-click.
eleventh: look for file FFE07D1 for campaign modding, (online modding doesnt work anymore so dont worry about it) and double-click.
twelfth: double-click on file 00001000.
thirteenth: drag and drop "savegame.svg" into your back-up folder on your desktop.
fourteenth: drag and drop from xplorer360 again, this time drop a copy right on your desktop.
fifteenth: find a mod program online (modio, CoD Tool, etc.), and mod the file that you dumped on your desktop.
sixteenth: in xplorer360 (in file 00001000) inside the window with the original savegame.svg, right-click. select insert file.
seventeenth: find the modded file from your desktop, and select it in the insert window.
eighteenth: it will prompt you to replace the existing savegame.svg, and select to do so.
nineteenth: once completed, click Drive-> Close. and unplug hdd and put it back into xbox.

Now, at this point, you need to unplug the internet from your xbox, and start it up. go to system settings, memory, then press Y. now press X,X,LB,RB,X,X. it will then ask you if you would like to perform maintenance. select yes. it will delete al updates, but you have to remain offline to use your mods. now go and play. to replace the deleted updates, simply plug in the internet, and start the game while signed into live.

No one owes you anything.... There are hundreds of tuts on youtube and on the codtool website.

This is so old so really your just trying to get your post up along with attention over something that 98% of COD modders already know.

its really nothing like that. i was reading in a few other posts that people couldn't even figure out how to use their effing transfer cable so i wanted to give them a little help that would be easy for them to follow. i was in no way looking for personal rep gain, or any other form of pc flattery. the "you guys owe me" thing was a joke to the noobs. as far as i am concerned, this is just another website full of people blogging about the good ol' days of flying around maps on CoD4.

Although these d bags might not like my posting, i hope that some of you newer modders find the post insightful.

Close this, doesn't work online anymore if this is what is it for. Don't close if it is for offline.

I know one of those people was me, but that was like ages ago and the thread got bumped up, the cable was broken so there was literally no way to get it on the PC. Instead, i bought a mem card and the xploder cable and got it working first shot.

well theres the same risk of you getting suspened on cod5 as there is on any other game but it is unlikely because when i did online mods i met a guy who was "apparently" recording random footage and e said he sent the footage of me using god mode to IW (even though they can to f all to ban me). but i dont know if you need a different folder for zombies or if its the same because i havent tried to mod cod5
