I had a one month free trial on my xbox 360 account with auto renewal ON and it was linked to my paypal account. I literally have 22 cents and a empty prepaid credit card linked to my paypal, but when the trial ran out i received an email confirming my new one month xbox live renewal but i did not get charged for it on my paypal account. So to me right now its looking like free xbox live. If anyone knows anything about this please let me know since i dont really know wtf is going to happen as far as microsoft with the billing.

EDIT: This was on a dummy account just so i could use netflix and so on.
But i was never banned on the account all they did was email after about 3 weeks saying that payment was rejected or something like that lol.
So if you want to do this with a dummy account go ahead you will not get banned and will get a total of two free months of live. I did this on two accounts and nothing has happened so good luck.

This is a bad idea to allow this to happen.

Microsoft will ban your account after the auto renewal has usually reached 2-3months. The account will be banned until the payment method is updated.

When you update your payment you will be charged the FULL auto-renewal price for Xbox live (£5.99 a month) for every month extra you have had Xbox live for.

So my advice: It may look free for now, but cancel it or expect a overpriced ban

they wont bill you till the billing date. the billing date is when you first signed up for xbox live (stupid if you ask me) so each month you would be billed on that day.

for example: my first payment to xbl for service was the 21st of some month. now everytime i have to pay for service it is the 21st of the month. even if you cancel service and start a new plan you will be charged on that day (for me the 21st)

I am licensed to believe they will ban you unfortunately after a set period of time, until you 'pay-up'.

Same thing happened to me except my paypal was limited and had no cards or anything on it. My year ended in april then it gave me another month but I wouldn't worry my account isn't banned
