1. Go to start then go to network

You must login or register to view this content.

2. At the top of the window select "Network and Sharing Center"

3. Now Look at the left side bar and click "Manage Network Connections"

The page should look something like this.

5. Next you need to bridge the connections. On The page that shows the Local Area And Wireless Network Connections select them both by dragging a box over them. Then right click anywhere and click bridge connections.

Okay! Thats every thing. Your connections page should now look something like this:

Now just take your ethernet cable out of your router and plug it into your pc. You should get a green light saying its working just to the side of the ethernet port on your pc. and maybe an orange light to. this means it is sending data.

Now sign in to XBL, if it can't connect wait a few minutes and then test your connection, then sign in to your account again.

Thats it everyone!

Now you don't need your xbox near your router.

So is just like a router or wireless adapater? I thought you meant acctualy play the xbox on the laptop, thanks anyway Happy

Kind of like a router yes but you have you ethernet cable plugged into your laptop and you have to have your laptop with you. But it means you can move your xbox away from your router and still go on Xbox LIVE.

this is called bridgeing btw and most pointless and worse conection than using your sh*t for a enthernet cable...

The ps3 is wireless anyway? or do you mean if you havnt got a router?

Probably doesn't have his PS3 near his router... I'm not quite sure if it works for PS3
