Pretty good information, was posted by Major Nelson on his blog. I guess we'll have to see how the new interface is when released. It looks pretty neat and is suppose to have a few additional features added to it. It looks like they are going to try and make it Kinect friendly, which would be neat if you decide to get the Kinect. All-in-All, it looks like it will be a cool update and could clean up the arcade and make it not only more presentable but easier to search through and also see what games your friends like/recommend. Smile

Release Date: July 14th US

Major Nelson has announced the new look of Xbox Live Arcade on his blog.

Next week we’ll be launching another way to browse content on Xbox LIVE Arcade and we’re calling it Destination Arcade. With a growing library of over 250 Arcade games, Destination Arcade will allow you to discover new games and content you enjoy through an easy-to-use visual browser. You’ll have the ability to sort by price, community rating, and more! Also, stay up to date on the latest arcade releases through a news feed and also find out what games your friends like and recommend. This brand new recommendation engine & visual browser app will be available in the US on July 14th from the Games Marketplace section of the dashboard. I’ve posted some screenshots of what it will look like if you want to take a peek.
I vaguely remember two years ago Microsoft mentioned how they never anticipated this large of a portfolio for their Xbox Live Arcade. Along with that comment was how the way it is currently designed is inefficient in getting out news for deals, sales, and new games and content. It looks like this new portal will help remedy those issues. Perhaps this is a preview of some future dashboard configuration? I never was much of a fan for the cover flow look.

still the same OG, but I've been low key
One image is off, you need the "/". Also, include your own thoughts about this. What you have done, sure, it's news, but it's just copy and pasted.

I don't like the first one. It reminds me too much of the original Xbox.

Yea, only thing updated in a long time was being able to rate the games. Now you will be able to better organize your search and see your friend's recommendations, etc. Seems like it may improve the overall layout in a more enjoyable way and look much better. But most of all, they are probably preparing it for the Kinect, but you never know. :p
