(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi, I turned on my 360 and ONE red light came on, bottom right, I'm not sure if this is actually proper RRoD but anyway. I tried replacing cables (borrowing friend's one anyway), nothing. and now I am about to get it replaced, anything I should know or do before I call them up? Have I tried everything?
(I've tried turning it off and on again lol, and also just unplugging it and stuff etc.)

help! thanks Smile

you know the battery pack thing? its the box on the wire going from your wall socket too the back of our xbox. when switching your xbox on. does it glow green or orange? if its green then its not that. but if its orange it usaully means that broke and you need a new one. i cant be to sure but bottom right has something to do with the disc tray.. also if you still have warranty you will get it fixed free if not its £49(or something Smile

if its Out of warranty I could fix it for $40 + shipping. But it does sound as if the disc tray is providing the error if its only 1 red light, it might also be a hard drive error also. Take off your harddrive and try to turn it on.

Thanks for all the advice. I have tried taking my hard drive out, didn't work. I'm not sure it's the disc tray though. I thought it was something to do with the GPU, although I don't know much about computers. And no i don't have warranty any more :(

you can remove the GPU & Heatsinks clear off the compounds get some new AS5 (i think thats what it was called...lol radio shack has what ever it is for like $10) Then you need some bolts a drill and some nuts and washers. and when your finished you will have a functional 360 minus 2 X-clamps (1 under gpu and 1 under heatsink) that have been removed from the unit. Takes about 1-2hrs

by fixing it u mean buying a new one and switching out the insides and returning the new one with the old inside for a full refund?

You can do a temporary fix, but its not guaranteed. Wrap the 360 in 2 towels and turn it on for about 20 mins. Then it should work for a bit.
