vg24/7 is doing the whispering, as well as claiming that Grand Theft Auto V's announcement is coming up fast – and quite possibly within the next few months as the report makes the surprising claim that it could be unveiled alongside the first public airing of Max Payne 3.

We've contacted Rockstar who have, unsurprisingly, remained tight-lipped, refusing to comment on rumour or speculation.

Grand Theft Auto has been to Hollywood before, of course, with San Andreas' LA flavoured Los Santos featuring the area of Vinewood, Rockstar's own take on Tinseltown.

Would a return to San Andreas – or part of it, at least – fulfil your desires for Grand Theft Auto V, or are you, like us, hoping for something a little different from the game? Let us know in the comments below.

it was but they did like 3 games in new york. gta4,gta3,and i think gta1 was all in new york.

I hope GTA 6 goes to Puerto Rico like Fast and the Furious 5 the movies set's here trolololol Vin Diesel. And GTA is going to probably go to the Old Places and not make new one's after those old pass they're going to do new one's.

On GTA 1 it was east, miami & west coast
GTA 2 was London
GTA 3 was East Coast
GTA Vice city was Miami
GTA San Andreas was West Coast
GTA IV was East Coast

so i think we're due for another miami or west coast
